Health Services

Along with Wesley Chapel's population growth, health care providers and quality health care facilities have expanded into the community as well. Many private practices and clinics have chosen to locate here, and whether the needs are for family practice, chiropractic, pain and stress management, radiology, optometry, lab work, urgent care, dental care, or obstetrics, assistance is nearby. Two east Pasco hospitals are within a half-hour drive of Wesley Chapel.

Pasco Regional Medical Center is a 120-bed acute care facility in Dade City. This facility is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is a two-time recipient of Solucient's 100 Top Hospitals award. The professional staff and caring physicians of Pasco Regional have been providing quality care since 1973.

Florida Hospital Zephyrhills, Inc. is a member of the Adventist Health System, located on 28 acres in nearby Zephyrhills. It is a 154-bed acute care not-for-profit community hospital. Since it was established in 1985, the hospital has experienced more than 35 additions and renovations, including The Heart Institute that offers a full service line of cardiac procedures and care and The Baby Place, a family-focused maternity care center.

University Community Hospital (UCH), in north Tampa is also a convenient medical care center for Wesley Chapel residents. It is a 431-bed facility that offers patients access to the most advanced technology and treatment options available.

There is much excitement over the fact that state approval has been received for UCH and Florida Hospital Zephyrhills to build a hospital on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard in Wesley Chapel as a joint venture. The 52-acre campus will include office buildings and an 80-bed hospital. Building of the medical complex is expected to commence very soon.

Other special health needs are provided to the Wesley Chapel community by organizations such as CARES and Hernando-Pasco Hospice. Promoting overall health and wellness, there are a number of gyms, spas, and massage clinics.
